One More item to scratch off the ol Bucket list. My wife has always wanted to go and see a observatory and tonight we got to that. We went to the Chamberlin Observatory in Denver. This place is pretty gosh darn old it was built in 1890 according to my wife’s Facebook post.
When we got there the 20 Inch Telescope was focused on the moon as were all the amateur astronomers in front of the building. before we got to look through it hough they changed the focus to Saturn. we got to see the planet with its surrounding rings and 4 of its moons with Titan being the brightest.
Our View of saturn was much like this one only there were 4 white dots around it which were the moons. I hope to bring the kids some time, I think space is very cool and should be shared with all. Have you been to an Observatory? Share your experience with me!
