Ms. Mer and her gal pals went to a junk show in Loveland Colorado about a year ago. Mer has been looking for an authentically old solid wood door for some time. Well she found one. The price made her cringe but she bought it anyway.
This thing was about 7 feet tall and solid very beautiful wood underneath the paint, I almost hated to cut it up. As I was about half way through this build Mer told me it was quite what she thought it would be, but it turned out awesome in the end.

I gave it a light sanding then wet distressed to bring some of the gray layers through. The panels and molding were dressed up with Dixie Belle Grunge Glaze, the funnest part. Two coats of Dixie Belle Gator for the finishing touch to help protect all this work for the long run. In
I cant wait to finish the rest of the bed frame this week!!!!
