Was gonna go camping Saturday after Mer got off work. was getting all the gear ready to go and the car cleaned out. But CJ come home. so we decided just to stay home and hang out with him. Mom decided to take a nap after work so CJ and I ran to Menards, to get some stuff for dinner then went and got the ball gloves and went up to the local school to play some catch. Epic time and good ol Kinney fashion, I hurt my foot. the top of my foot.
When we got home mom had dinner pretty much ready to go. Home made chicken fried steak… YUMMMMYYYYYY!!!!!
October 15th was Justices birthday, so we planned to take him to Elitch’s in Denver on Sunday to celebrate.
Had a fun time getting there, as our WAZE program took us to the HR office way in the back of the park. Mer kinda bitched at me and said just follow the signs next time.
We got int he park and started on our way commenting about the stores. Saw the swing ride and hit that up first thing. Us old people are use to things that spin us around. You think we would have learned our lesson from that. Nope Then we hit up the Spider (we called it the Octopus), and that didn’t do much for the ol equilibrium .
We walked around a bit, and the n stopped for some lunch. Burgers an Nachos beer and soda. After lunch we walked around and played some of the carnival games. Then we went to the water ride. Noah didn’t want to go but Mer Justice and I did and boy we got soaked. I don’t think it was very smart thing to do in the middle of October in the Rocky mountains it was pretty darn cold water. But we made it!
Played a few more games, then Justice and I went tot he Mind Eraser and Noah and Mom went to the Ferris Wheel. The mid Eraser was pretty intense, 1.5 hour wait for 20 seconds worth of thrill. but it was fun.
Then we went and had the boy caricature done. the Artists name was Stig, he did a pretty awesome job. we want to get one of the whole family now! I think that would be awesome.
After this we went to head to the shops at Centera but on the way home we called and they were closed. So we stopped in Windsor and got a subway Samich Then headed home. All in all it was a good day and I think the kiddos had fun. Happy Birthday Justice!
