Meet Charlie, Charlie is a tree. A Pin Oak to be exact.
Well I finally got the oak tree I have always wanted! Yay For me! I have always wanted an oak tree in the yard.
Earlier this year we removed an old pine tree that was dying, the trunk spit from the weight of the heavy snow over the years and we have been looking for a shady replacement. We found this oak tree at Menards and spent the weekend prepping and planting. Charlie is supposed to grow between 60 and 80 Ft tall and 40 to 50 foot wide. We did some measuring and think we found the ideal spot for him. This tree should provide plenty of shade in the next 10 years (supposed to be a fast growing tree). I pretty excited for this new addition to K Place!
Thanks to our good friend George for the help in getting it planted! now we wait!
