Rebel Junk And Whirl Wind Weekend

Tumbleweed at the Rebel Junk Show

Oh Man, what a great weekend this was to be, we both took two days off of work should have took more

Let me tell you about it!

Tumbleweed studios

Over the previous weekend, my wife’s sister (SIL = Sister-In-Law Mel) and her BFF (Steph) came over to help us prep things for the show, we did alot, our big project was the restoration of a table we found in the garbage. along with that We had an old door that Mrs. Mer though could be used as table legs for a a small coffee table, I had cut those but had to move on to other projects. later that afternoon, we started putting the table together, after much himing and hawing about what to do with shelf, we finally figured it out and got it ready for staining before calling it a night.

Window TableThroughout the week we did a lot of work on our pieces. Mer and I finished putting the table together, SIL and BFF did a lot of sanding staining and painting, I built benches, frames, blanket ladders, and towel holders. We assembled signs and put hangers on them….. Man we did a lot!

My beautiful bride managed to get in some extra curricular painting, you can check it out here

On Friday morning, we were still going strong. Another friend, Kathy, and her son came over to help us price stuff and load up the trailer. Today was out 16th Anniversary BTW.

Early afternoon we headed to the Ice and Events center to get set up! Only took like 2 hours, SIL brought us food, I of course had to go shopping and get additional things, but it was Junkin time!

About an hour in we sold that round table you see in the middle and a couple of signs, it was nice to have a credit card processor so we didn’t have to do everything in cash.

Saturday went equally as well, sold our benches and blanket ladder a few more signs. All in all I think it was a success for our first show!

ScotchMer bought steaks for everyone for dinner to thank them for all there help, SIL didn’t show up she was too tired but BIL did. BFF and her man came over. Mer got me a wonderful very smooth bottle of scotch. And what a great time we had. Wine Beer Scotch and German Chocolate shake Shots. Awesome BBQed steak, and some great laughs.

Sunday, Relaxing day,

Paramount cafeMer took me to the Paramount Cafe in downtown Cheyenne for our anniversary since we didn’t get to celebrate on Friday. Mer had the Avocado toast and i had some kind of twist on Huevos Rancheros. and we got cinnamon waffles to take home for the boys. Along with a dill Pickle Bloody Marry. What and Awesome Sunday morning surprise. Thank you my love!

Then Mer Noah and I headed to Ft Collins, we went to best buy and spoiled the kids. We bought CJ a new laptop/table 2 in one with some accessories. We got Noah Some fancy ear buds, I think  they call them ear pods. Then we went down to guitar center to hang out for a bit, we played some Guitars and looked at cool stuff. Then mom decided Noah needed a new amplifier, so we got him one.

OF COURSE we went to smash burger to eat… like why wouldn’t you?  After  a small trip to Home Depot to look at flooring, We headed home to meet our other kiddo. set up the guitar, gave CJ his laptop, and I cooked steaks for dinner.

Had great fun and very proud of Mer for her first Junk Show! good job babe! and Happy Anniversary!!!!
