Mer and I went to dance class on Friday ( we have been taking Country swing and two step dancing) I reminded CJ the roads were bad and let us know when he was leaving Laramie. He called in the middle of our dance class to let us know he was in a ditch off the road. He said he was OK, and didn’t hit anything and he was waiting for a break in the traffic to get back on the road. He finally made it home about an hour an a half later
He told us the story of his spin out, after he called us and sat there a minute, and highway patrol office stopped and came an knocked on the window, he opened the door and stepped out, office asked him if he was OK and what happened. CJ said he was good and explained he was just waiting for traffic to calm down before getting back on the road. just then a Semi jackknifed in the highway in the same slick spot and headed straight towards CJ and office.

The truck slid at them, ( CJ says in his mind, I’m gonna die right now). The the truck fell over on its side about 20 feet in front of him. the office looked at him and said you need to get out of here.
He got back on the road finally with the assistance of the HP and started heading home, a little while down the way a trucker passed him and the jackknifed in the road right in front of him. pretty rough night for the boy. he stopped at the liquor store and said I’m gonna have beer with my Dad, he showed up with a 12 pack.
The rest of the weekend was ok with thanks giving and all, dinner at Stephs on Thursday and then we had the guys over on Saturday. Relaxed on Sunday, CJ headed home Sunday night after work
Mer and I had just sat down to start watching the new season of Longmire with her sister Mel. CJ called and said that the car had no power and he couldn’t go over 55, and then it just turned off. so we shut off the show sent everyone home. Went and got tow straps from mom’s and headed out for the rescue.
When we pulled up the the car, there was a large oil slick behind the car for a few hundred feet. Checked everything out but couldn’t make a determination for the issue. so we towed over to Buford, and then drove CJ back to Laramie. Of course we stopped and took him to Wal-Mart. We took him back home and then headed home ourselves, got home about 11:oo I suppose.
Took the next morning off to find tow options, Mer ended up taking the afternoon off and with our friend Zach we drove to Buford and hooked up the car and towed it home, Zach was a trooper and did a great job with the tow. took about an hour and half.
After we got the car home it took me a few days to get it up on block to take a look but here’s what we found. A great big hole in the Pan. That motor is toast. pulled out pieces of piston from that whole…. shit, damn, hell, crap.
