Went to Omaha this weekend for my niece’s birthday. Always a good time. we go there kinda late, about 8:00. Tammy was working so we hung out with kids, made some wings. Holli brought out her little guinea pig. I let it nibble on my finger, then it bit real hard (uh ouch!!).so we sat on the couch watched some harry potter then went to bed.
We got up Saturday morning and made a group effort to cook breakfast. We had pancakes and french toast, added a little bacon to the mix, was defiantly a good breakfast morning. Tammy had to get up and got to work but that’s the way the cookie crumbles. I told the kids to go out and play at the park while we cleaned up from breakfast.
Man What a Awesome Day! 70 degrees in the middle of February kinda hard to believe. Mer and I and the kids played Frisbee for a while, then took a few laps around the park. we then decided to go to the restore store. lots of cool stuff but nothing we couldn’t live without.
Then we headed over to The Therapy Bar and Grill. My Sister-In-Law owns this bar. we helped her out a bit, stacking some beer and hanging some pictures. She bought us a few drinks and some lunch. Noah and his cousin went tot he art store and got pencils and stuff. Then we went back home and I made dinner. We had good ol fashion Tacos. ( its a staple when we go to Omaha)
Ah yes Sunday. My little niece turned 10 a few days before we went. So we decided to have a birthday party for her. My other sister in law ( call her M) and our nephew were coming back through from Oklahoma, so she dropped him off and went to hang with her friends. so we took all the kids and a few friends to CoCoKey, indoor water park.
Mer and her sister ( Tammy) left a little bit early to set up a surprise party at home.
We got home and had cake and pizza and played games. then we played adult game when kids went to bed. Mer crapped out on use.. the M came back from her night out. Played phase 10 and called it a night.
Hit the road the next morning. everyone taking turns to drive. dropped our niece off and went home to relax. Seems like our Omaha trips are always to short. Unit next time!!
