Who doesn’t love the weekends! Hooray for weekends!
Friday
Got to leave work a little early to wash some time, so that was nice. Mer’s BA crew had a pizza party for lunch so there was plenty of left over to take home for dinner. Went and checked on the parents house as they were out camping, after that we worked on Mer’s bench project for a little bit. Had a late evening snack of left over pasta salad. And then we went Pokemon hunting with Pokemon Go, wow what a game, and time waster geeze. Funny story there were these kids wondering around in our neighborhood the other day and it looked like they were taking pictures and video of our house. So Mer confronted them and they said “No Ma’am were playing a game” yeah right she thought… Low and behold her brother posted about it on Facebook. Kind felt dumb after that.
Saturday
Life is cruel sometimes, like at 6 AM and your all comfy but you have to get up to go do a garage sale… geeze. Dropped Mer off at her friends house, I had to go back home and get my phone, got some Starbucks and a chicken Biscuit from Chick-Fil-A then back to the garage sale. I hung out for a few then went back home to mow the lawn and the dog run. Boy that was chore weeds were about 5 feet tall.
After the mowing and sneezing fit from my allergies, I wen and did some shopping for my friend Zach’s birthday, then went back to the garage sale to pick up Mer, I ended up watching a little bit of The Lovely Bones while waiting for her sister to show up.
Got home and Mer did a little bit of house cleaning while I glued My oldest sons cookie jar back together. This thing has more super glue on it than porcelain I think. any way it belonged to his great grandmother and he was able to take it home when she passed away, so its got sentimental value to him and us too. then it was nap time!!!!! I love naps!
Mer worked on her bench some more after the nap and I cleaned the garage a little to prep for Zach’s party.
Zach’s friend Ryan came over along with George and us we started out with some beers and Pickle vodka that George found “Naked Jay, Big Dill”. This stuff is amazing if you ask me. Zach didn’t care for it to much so he stuck to fireball.
Got the grill all lit up with charcoal and BBQ’ed some stuffed hamburgers courtesy of George! oh yeah and some grilled Corn on the Cob, Man I love that stuff!!
After filling our guts and watching baseball on the ol Garage tube, We played darts, actually for quite a while. more shots more beers. good times!!!! I of course didn’t win a single game.
Ryan took off, George took Zach home and off to bed we went, I like a good party!!!
Sunday
oh wow we slept in till 9:00 damn that never happens it was so nice too.cant wait to do it again next weekend! Mer decided she wanted hash browns for breakfast, then Chicken fried steak adn then…. Geese we ended up going to the Luxury Diner again. Man that place is so good. we both had the chicken fried steak and I had over easy eggs. kinda breakfast you need a nap after.
Went back home and started working on the home projects. Mer spent most of the day working on her bench and i spent my day working on the planter boxes. I decided to use wood glue this time for better fitting pieces. Cut all the wood and started putting everything together. After getting all the sides assembled i started with the Kreg Jig and pre drilled all the holes. I then started with final assembly. Guess what. I really screwed that all up. ( What’s new).
Come to find out all the pre drilling I did with the Kreg Jig was all on the wrong side… as I mention I also glues them together so there was no tearing them apart to switch them around. Boy I can’t be trusted to do anything without being supervised. I was so pissed at myself… 50$ down the tube. Now i have to start over, good thing is we can use those pieces for other projects my lovely bride had in mind.
Decided to hang it up for the night, went in made some hamburger helper for dinner and then watched a movie Called Spy. Had a hell of a time getting the chrome cast to work but finally got it
Time for bed for this old man. and put this bad day to rest.
