We got a great snow storm a couple of weeks ago, pretty impressive the State of Wyoming actually closed due to weather 14″ total accumulation. I was telling my kids that this was the kind of snow storms we use to get wen I was a kid.. Every snow storm. Back in 1979 my family was living in an apartment in good ol’ Cheytucky because out house got blown apart by a tornado. I remember my Dad trying to shovel snow off the car so we could get around town, but we couldn’t find the car. We lived on the second floor and the drifts were almost as high. There was a drift that was about a foot taller then the car its self, at least it was in my 4 year old mind, Epic sledding day!
This weekend was supposed to be equally as Epic if not more. Reports were coming in at anywhere from 8″ to over 20″s of snow over the weekend. I think after the melt we go about 3″ of accumulation. I guess we won’t be getting a snow day tomorrow. Any way we made a great evening about it.We had Corned Beef, potatoes and green beans for dinner played some Farkle and darts with great friends ( BTW, we ended up breaking 2 darts in the process due to blind throws), had a couple of drinks and, thanked the Lord for having a safe and warm place to spend the evening.
